We have today launched our appeal to seek volunteers to give their time to help disabled with issues or problems. We are keen to roll out our services across Aberdeenshire and are looking for voluntary help to do so.
We have today launched our appeal to seek volunteers to give their time to help disabled with issues or problems. We are keen to roll out our services across Aberdeenshire and are looking for voluntary help to do so. We have many positions available, including positions in advisory throughout the Shire, as well as I.C.T.(computer maintenance) and admin support in Peterhead. The roles will give individuals an opportunity to gain experience in the housing market and will allow them to make a real difference by helping to improve the lives of many individuals with disabilities. We help over 50 people each year with disabilities and provide them with information, advice and advocacy to help with any housing issues or problems. We believe that living in suitable, secure accommodation is crucial to a person’s life and can ultimately lead to other benefits, such as increased access to work and educational opportunities, as well as social integration and community participation. Anyone interested in applying for a voluntary role within the organisation should telephone Anne Mair on 01779 490908. |
